Easy 3-Step Process
Open Seen App
On your old phone, open the Seen app
Go to Settings
Navigate to Settings → The Back Page → "Backup & Transfer"

Transfer Methods
Direct Device Transfer (Recommended)
The most secure method - transfer data directly from your old device to your new one.
Requirements:

Encrypted Backup Transfer
Create an encrypted backup file that you can transfer manually or through secure cloud storage.
How it works:
- • Generate encrypted backup file
- • Transfer file via AirDrop, email, or cloud
- • Import on new device with your password
Best for:
- • Devices not on same network
- • Transferring across platforms
- • Creating backup before device change
Detailed Instructions
1On Your Old Device
Open the Seen app and make sure you're logged in
Navigate to Settings (gear icon in top right)
Scroll down to "The Back Page" section
Tap "Backup & Transfer"
Choose your preferred transfer method
2On Your New Device
Download and install the Seen app from the App Store
Open the app and look for "Restore from Backup" option
Follow the prompts to connect with your old device or import backup
Enter your device passcode or backup password when prompted
Wait for the transfer to complete (usually 2-5 minutes)
3Verify Transfer
Check that all your journal entries are present
Verify your weekly insights have transferred
Confirm your app settings and preferences
Test that you can create a new journal entry
Troubleshooting
Transfer Failed or Incomplete
- • Ensure both devices are connected to the same WiFi network
- • Check that both devices have sufficient battery (>20%)
- • Make sure the Seen app is updated to the latest version on both devices
- • Try restarting both devices and attempting the transfer again
Can't Find Backup Option
- • Update to the latest version of Seen app
- • The backup feature is located in Settings → The Back Page → Backup & Transfer
- • If still not visible, restart the app and check again
Devices Won't Connect
- • Verify both devices are on the same WiFi network
- • Disable VPN on both devices during transfer
- • Try moving devices closer together
- • Consider using the encrypted backup method instead
